Kozhikode Calicut International Airport - Domestic Terminal

Kozhikode Airport was built back in 1988, being this terminal the first one built of the existing two.

Terminal 1 of Kozhikode Airport serves as a Domestic Terminal between Calicut and other major cities of India and handles between 80 and 90 flights weekly. It has the capacity to handle almost 250 passengers on peak hours.

Also, thanks to the Gulf Malayalis funds, it was possible the expansion of the runway of the Airport from 6,000 to 9,000 ft and its refurbishment works, since the surrounding area of the airport has a complicated terrain.


Domestic terminal has a single level which hosts either Arrivals and Departures, and also the amenities and services for their passengers:

Ground floor: Arrivals Hall and Departures Hall, executive lounge, bars, restaurants, shops, and many more services.

The terminal has two passenger entry and exit gates.

The airport has 35 check-in counters, 12 immigration counters, 6 customer counters and 5 security counters.
